Entry Requirements

Successful completion of VFA Learning Pre-Training Review and approved

Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test (LLN).

Students actively enrolled to the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support will need to transition to the current program when we obtain it on scope. Any transitions will be completed prior to 21 November 2023. VFA Learning will ensure that the transition process is as smooth as possible for all involved.

Clinical Experience

This course contains 7 weeks of mandatory work placement. VFA Learning will assist you with organising practical placements where required, and on-the-job training is

supported by regular workplace visits by a qualified assessor.

Students will need to provide evidence of the following before placements:

  • Provide a clear National Criminal History (Police) Check
  • Provide a record of your immunisation history
  • Provide evidence of your COVID-19 vaccination
  • Provide evidence of your flu vaccination (mandated by the aged care sector).

Flexible Study

We understand that many of our students need to work while learning, so we have developed a blended option for this course. It includes online theory components and completion of all practical observations in a simulated work environment or placement as required by the qualification.

Our modified Flipped Learning approach encompasses the following:

  • Face-to-face/Classroom Based
  • Practical Clinical Laboratory Sessions
  • Professional Placement
  • Self-directed Learning

Each week of training, students will complete:

  • 2 days of classroom-based training and assessment

Students can also expect self-directed studies and practical practice on the remaining days of the week to reinforce skills.
